These sturdy spring blooms come to life in saturated yellow/yellow doublette!
You will make a pistil, stamen, corona, petals, and spathe.
Create the pistil by dipping the end of the wire into glue and wrapping it with the white paper strip. Tacky glue takes time to dry. Each time you glue expect to wait and hold to set it.
Twist each strip of the stamen.
Smear with glue.
Roll around the pistil, hold and pinch to set the glue and shape the flower.
Ruffle the edges of the corona by gently holding an edge and twisting gently between your fingers.
Pleat the corona by adding a drop of glue to the bottom edge and pinching. Do this as many times as fit, usually 3-5.
Glue the pleats down in one direction when they have dried.
Attach the dried corona to the base of the pistil and stamen with glue. Pinch and hold to set.
Glue the edge of the corona in place. Gently shape the corona with fingers to open it up.
